Where the savings are
These options had no published end date when checked. Their prices, eligibility and availability can still change; confirm the official terms before buying.
Onsen
A hot spring without the overnight rate
Published adult bath-only rates at these Akiu and Sakunami hotels range from ¥900 to ¥1,650. Towels and applicable bathing taxes may cost extra.
Who can use it
Day visitors who meet each hotel’s bathing rules. Check tattoo policies, age restrictions, closures and availability directly; a published price does not guarantee admission.
How to get it
Check current hotel notices and arrive before final reception. Bath-only entry at Zuiho, New Mitoya and Ooedo is listed as reservation-free; meal plans have separate booking rules. Zuiho’s day-use shuttle requires advance reservation; a bath visit does not reserve a seat.
Hananoyu: ¥1,200, 10:30–14:00, last entry 13:00; its page gives conflicting closed weekdays, so confirm with the hotel. Zuiho: ¥1,320 + ¥70 tax, 10:00–15:00, reception until 14:00; closed 15–16 December 2026. New Mitoya: ¥1,650, 11:00–15:00, last entry 14:30. Ooedo Sakunami: ¥900 weekdays / ¥1,200 weekends and holidays / ¥1,400 busy days, taxes included; 7:00–10:00 and 15:00–24:00, final reception 22:00. Green Green: ¥1,100 for 90 minutes, 10:00–22:00, reception 10:00–21:30; confirm the final total and towel charges. The current page does not clarify a separate bathing tax. Yunohara: ¥1,000 weekdays / ¥1,500 weekends and holidays, taxes included; 11:00–16:00, last entry 15:00, about one hour’s use; normally closed Tuesdays/Wednesdays, with other closures or later starts possible.
¥1,000 for the exhibition hall plus one planetarium screening, versus ¥1,220 for the two adult tickets separately.
Who can use it
Anyone. High school students pay ¥610 for the set against ¥700 separately; elementary and junior high ¥400 against ¥500. Pre-school children are free.
How to get it
Choose the set ticket at Sendai Astronomical Observatory or follow its official advance-ticket link. Check the screening calendar before buying.
The adult exhibition and single planetarium tickets each cost ¥610. The ¥1,000 set includes the exhibition and one planetarium screening, not unlimited shows. Special exhibitions and stargazing sessions are separate. Preschool children enter free but still need a free ticket. Check the current screening calendar before choosing a session. The observatory’s full admission website is temporarily under maintenance. These fee details retain the last full check of 21 October; the current official tourism listing corroborates the set prices. Confirm current ticket conditions through the operator’s homepage before buying.
With the right pass: Zuihoden adult admission ¥570 → ¥460; Sendai City Museum permanent exhibition ¥460 → ¥360. Eligible tickets differ by attraction.
Who can use it
Zuihoden lists Loople day tickets (including the subway combination) and Marugoto passes. The museum also accepts city-bus and subway day tickets. Do not assume one ticket qualifies everywhere.
How to get it
Show the eligible pass at the attraction before buying admission. City-bus/subway day-ticket benefits apply on the day the ticket is used. Check the facility-specific conditions; museum discounts cannot be combined.
Adult Loople purchase prices through 30 September 2026: one-day ¥630; Loople + subway ¥920. From 1 October 2026: one-day ¥700; Loople + subway ¥1,000. Tickets bought by 30 September remain usable without paying the difference. Ordinary city-bus or subway day tickets are not listed for the Zuihoden discount. Museum special exhibitions have separate prices and conditions. At Osaki Hachimangu, the Loople benefit is a photo booklet, not an admission discount; show the day ticket at the ceremonial building. Loople's official website reopened on 4 November 2026 after security maintenance, according to the dated official tourism notice. Use the restored official website and each attraction's current conditions when planning.
¥1,420 for one day of travel within the published free area; children aged 6–11 pay ¥720. Compare your actual journeys before buying.
Who can use it
Anyone holding a valid non-Japanese passport, both when buying and on the day of use. The passport is checked at purchase.
How to get it
Buy at the JR EAST Travel Service Center on Sendai Station’s third floor or its reserved-seat machines with passport readers, from one month before use. Bring your valid non-Japanese passport.
The official coverage includes JR within the Sendai, Matsushima, Matsushimakaigan, Yamadera and Shiroishi area; the airport line; Loople, city buses and subway (excluding the Rakuten shuttle); Miyagi Kotsu between Sendai Station and Akiu Otaki; and Abukuma Express between Tsukinoki and Abukuma. Check the official map for your exact journey. This is a one-day ticket, so savings depend on your route rather than the pass price alone.
The subway day ticket is ¥220 cheaper at the weekend
¥620 instead of ¥840, on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and over the New Year period.
Who can use it
Anyone travelling on one of those days. Child fares are ¥310 and ¥420.
How to get it
Buy from a subway station ticket machine for use on the purchase day. For advance or bulk purchases, use the counter at any subway station.
Unlimited rides on both subway lines for one day. Adult all-day ticket ¥840; Saturday, Sunday, holiday and designated year-end/New Year ticket ¥620. Child fares are ¥420 and ¥310 respectively. Machine-issued tickets are valid only on the purchase day. Station counters handle advance and bulk purchases. Eligible facility discounts apply on the travel day; check the operator’s facility list rather than assuming every attraction participates.
¥2,930 for two consecutive days in the published free area; children pay ¥1,470.
Who can use it
Anyone. The Sendai City Transportation Bureau page lists no nationality condition.
How to get it
Buy at participating JR East counters or reserved-seat machines in the free area, JR EAST Travel Service Centers or major travel agencies. Sendai Airport Station machines sell same-day tickets. The official site also explains TOHOKU MaaS digital use.
The pass covers designated JR routes towards Matsushima, Yamadera and Shiroishi, the airport line, Loople, city buses, subway, Miyagi Kotsu’s Akiu route and Abukuma Express between Tsukinoki and Abukuma. Rakuten shuttle and Takeya buses are excluded. Use it on two consecutive days and check the map for your exact trip. The current ¥2,930 adult / ¥1,470 child prices apply to purchases from 14 March 2026. Coupon-book benefits are valid only during the pass’s travel period.
Every entry here carries a published end date and disappears the day after it.
Coupon 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027
Free coupon book for Akiu, Sakunami and Jogi
Day-use bath discounts of ¥50–¥300 at six facilities, plus other local benefits in western Sendai. Valid through 31 March 2027.
Who can use it
Visitors meeting each facility’s coupon conditions. Normally one coupon per person per facility; some offers cover a group. Cannot be combined with other discounts or services.
How to get it
Print and submit the coupon, or open the actual digital coupon through the tourism bureau announcement. Showing the PDF on a phone is not accepted. Tell staff you are using the coupon before paying.
Bath discounts: Hananoyu ¥200; Sorai ¥100 per adult; Ichitaro no Yu ¥50 (¥900 → ¥850); Kamigane Onsen ¥100 (¥600 → ¥500); Green Green ¥300 (up to five people per coupon); Yunohara ¥100 per adult (one coupon each). Sakan’s ¥100 benefit is for its original shop magnet, not bathing. Check each facility’s reception hours and closures. The coupon lists Green Green use from 15:00–22:00, with reception until 21:00. The hotel’s general page starts at 10:00 and lists reception until 21:30; those broader hours do not establish coupon eligibility. Confirm coupon reception before visiting.
Nothing with a published end date is running right now. This section is empty more often than not, and an empty one is the honest answer — we do not list an offer that cannot tell us when it ends.
