Traveler note
A nine-night walk in Tagajo, outside Sendai, linking four illuminated historic areas: Tatemae ruins, the reconstructed South Gate and Tagajo monument, the southern avenue area, and the former government-office compound. The programme includes South Gate projection mapping and mist/laser effects. The food area and Lapras balloon are at TAGAJO CENTRAL PARK and have their own dates and earlier hours; those hours are not the lighting start time. The route has stairs and uneven ground. The organiser recommends JR Kokufu-Tagajo Station on the Tohoku Main Line; parking is limited. Check current weather and operation notices before travelling. The daytime South Gate photograph dates to December 2025 and shows one actual event area, not the 2026 projection mapping.
