Sendai Airport train fares and journey times

The Sendai Airport Access Line runs directly between Sendai Station and the airport. The operator publishes different adult fares for paper tickets and IC cards, so a return amount should not be mistaken for the normal one-way fare.

One-way fares and the two-leg baseline

• One-way paper ticket: ¥680.
• One-way IC card: ¥672.
• Two paper-ticket legs: ¥1,360.
• Two IC-card legs: ¥1,344.

Each two-leg figure is calculated from two one-way fares rather than stored as a separate product. The Pass Checker deliberately uses the paper-ticket one-way fare as its baseline and multiplies it by the number of airport legs selected.

Typical journey time from the official timetable

The timetable effective 14 March 2026 was checked on 12 August 2026. For a transparent typical-time calculation, every published endpoint-to-endpoint trip was counted and the median was used:

• Sendai Station to Sendai Airport: 27-minute median across 43 departures; the published trips range from 23 to 28 minutes.
• Sendai Airport to Sendai Station: 25-minute median across 45 departures; the published trips range from 24 to 31 minutes.

Put the correct number of legs into a pass comparison

Choose zero legs if the airport train is not part of this trip, one for either arrival or departure, and two only when both directions belong in the same fare comparison. The calculator reads the same one-way paper-ticket fare shown above, so a one-leg trip is no longer charged a return amount.
